NTC stands for “Negative Temperature Coefficient. NTC thermistors are resistors with a negative temperature coefficient, which means that the resistance decreases with increasing temperature. They are primarily used as resistive temperature sensors and current-limiting devices.
SMD/DIP PTC
PTC thermistors are temperature-dependent resistors based on special semiconductor ceramics with a high positive temperature coefficient (PTC). They exhibit relatively low resistance values at room temperature. When9+ current flows through a PTC the heat generated raises the temperature of the PTC.
